Tree Findr

UX/UI

Tree Findr was designed to attract mobile phone users to the Arnold Arboretum,  located in Boston. My goal was to make the wayfinding experience more convenient, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly.  Tree Findr achieves all three goals; the app can be downloaded to a mobile phone and is therefore available on demand. It is free to use but can generate revenue through advertising. It is strictly digital so there is no paper used or wasted.

Using the Tree Findr app would get people to the park, scan barcodes, and learn about the trees while playing a game that earns points which can be redeemed at local park-sponsored restaurants. The color choices were inspired by recent branding done for the park, shades of green and a nice tan, and the typeface was chosen for its accessibility and for being a great screen font.
